Wang Yilin attends the 13th meeting of China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee

On May 30, the 13th meeting of China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee was held in Sochi, Russia. Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich presided over the meeting. CNPC Chairman Wang Yilin attended the event, and had discussions with Mr. Dvorkovich, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Gazprom Chairman Alexey Miller, and NOVATEK Chairman Leonid Mikhelson respectively prior to the meeting.
In particular, Mr. Wang Yilin and Mr. Miller exchanged views on pushing forward the Eastern Route of the Russia-China Gas Pipeline and the Far East gas supply project. They also discussed the cooperation mode for the Western Route gas supply project, and compared notes on furthering cooperation in underground gas storage, gas power generation, technology, and employees' occupational health.
In his meeting with Mr. Dvorkovich and Mr. Novak, Wang Yilin briefed on the current progress and future plans of the cooperation projects between CNPC and Gazprom, Rosneft and NOVATEK respectively. Mr. Dvorkovich spoke highly of the Sino-Russia energy cooperation achievements, and expressed his hope to see further progress in these projects and win-win outcomes.
Mr. Wang Yilin also had a discussion with NOVATEK Chairman Leonid Mikhelson on the construction and financing of the Yamal LNG project, and with First Vice President of Rosneft Eric Liron on the Tianjin Refinery project, crude trade, and upstream business cooperation.
