How to settle down the drilling fluid contamination ? (part1)

During well drilling. a variety of pollutants from the formation will into the drilling fluid, which make their performance not be suitable with the construction’s requirements, it’s known as drilling fluid invasion. Some pollutants seriously impact the drilling fluid rheology and filtration performance, or accelerate corrosion and damage to the drill rigs.

Let’s speak about Ca2+ and Mg2+, the easiest way to get rid of them (if they are a problem) is to rise the PH value of the fluid, which make their precipitation; or if you don’t want to modify the PH value, it can add Soda Ash (Na2-Co3) to produce MgCo3 and CaCO3, to being insoluble solids.

When the pollutants are serious, the formula must make timely and effective adjustment, or using chemicals additives to clear them and ensure normal drilling.
