SOCAR drilling new well at Oil Rocks field

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR will produce nearly 3,650 tons of oil annually through commissioning a new well, which is being drilled at the offshore Oil Rocks field.
The project depth of the well is 1,380 meters and the daily debit is expected to reach 10 tons of oil.
SOCAR produced 5.06 million tons of oil at Azerbaijani fields, where it works independently without foreign companies’ participation, in January- August 2016 as compared to 5.54 million tons in the same period of 2015.
