Drilling viscosity-reducer also named deflocculants, thinner. In use procedure of drilling fluids, it’s ordinarily to see additives loss efficacy when temperature rise, invade salt or calcium and solid content rising. It increases net structure of drilling fluids, and rise viscosity and shearing force. Then it result to difficult when open pump, difficult to remove cutting and raise pressure. Even severely result to kinds of complex under drilling well. Therefore, in the procedure of use and maintain drilling fluids additives, it often need to add viscosity reducer, to reduce viscosity and shearing of system, then make it suitable rheological property.
Accordingly to the different of functional mechanism, there are many kinds of drilling thinner. It divides into two types: dispersant thinner and polymer thinner. Dispersant type mainly includes Tannin grade and lignosulfonate grade. Polymer type mainly includes copolymer grade and low molecule grade.
